Summary: Field research and beachcombing go hand in hand. A walk
along the river or around a beaver pond provide plenty of
inspiration for wildlife art. Seeing the birds in their natural habitat
contributes to the vision for each composition. My studio which
sits adjacent to the Sauk River allows me to view many different
species as they travel on the water. Herons, dippers, chickadees,
wrens, eagles, and other raptors find their way to this wild and
scenic river. A lifelong passion for the outdoors has led to an
appreciation for the natural world.
